Fabinho and Alisson of Liverpool might not be available for the Premier League game against Watford due to the tight schedule they are involved in.

The two Brazil national team players would be in action against Uruguay at 1.30 am on Friday UK time. Less than 35 hours after, Liverpool will be in action against Watford at Vicarage Road.

Aside from the fact that Fabinho and Alisson might not have enough time to train with the team ahead of the Premier League game, they might be forced to quarantine for 10 days when they arrive in the United Kingdom since Brazil is on UK’s coronavirus red list.

Reports claimed that Liverpool had tried to push their game against Watford to evening kick-off. But Watford that happen to be the host reportedly refused to grant Liverpool’s request.

In a pre-match press conference ahead of the Brazil vs Uruguay World Cup qualifier, Liverpool midfielder, Fabinho admitted that it might be impossible to meet up with the club’s game on Saturday.

He said: “I believe that this first match against Watford, will be very hard for us. I don’t think we’ll play. Neither Alisson nor myself.

“The match against Uruguay will be Friday overnight there (in the United Kingdom) and the match against Watford is at 12:30 pm (Saturday).

“With all of what is involved with travel, I don’t know how much time we’ll have between one game and the other.”

After the Premier League game against Watford, the next game involving Liverpool is a Champions League group stage game against Atletico Madrid.

The Premier League club are expected to fly to Madrid to take on the Spanish side at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on October 19. The match is expected to kick off at 20:00.

Based on how complicated things are, Liverpool are reportedly contemplating flying Fabinho and Alisson from Brazil to Spain to avoid UK’s coronavirus restriction.

This is seen as an alternative since it is obvious that the two players would not be available for the Premier League game against Watford. It would also prevent them from entering a 10-day quarantine period if they fly directly to the UK from Brazil.

“We will also need to quarantine, but the club is still studying whether it is better to go straight to Spain to play against Atletico and quarantine there, without staying in a hotel in England”, Fabinho said.

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold of England and Diogo Jota of Portugal are expected to be available for the club’s Premier League game against Watford on Saturday.

Alexander-Arnold has just recovered from a muscle injury. While Jota who had to leave Portugal camp during the October FIFA international break due to a muscle issue is said to be fit for the league game.

This is seen as a plus for Jurgen Klopp and his boys especially now that Fabinho and Alisson, the team’s first-choice goalkeeper, will not be available for the Premier League game.
