2023 FIFA Best Men’s Coach Award; who is most likely to win?
Based on their achievements in the past year, the following coaches are considered to be the favorites to win the award:
Pep Guardiola is the most likely winner of the award. He led Manchester City to a historic treble in 2023, winning the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. This is the second time that Guardiola has won a treble in his career, and it is a remarkable achievement.
Simone Inzaghi: Inzaghi won a domestic double with Inter Milan last season, clinching the Coppa Italia and Supercopa Italiana. He also led the team to 2023 Champions League final where they lost to Manchester City
Luciano Spalletti: led Napoli to their first Serie A title in over three decades in 2023. Spalletti won the title in style with a bogus point gap on too of the table. He has been credited for getting the best out of the players.
The other two nominees, Xavi and Ange Postecoglou, are also worthy contenders for the award. Ange Postecoglou led Celtic to Scottish Premier League title for the second time in and also won the Scottish Cup. Xavi won the Laliga with Barcelona, including Spanish Super Cup.
Ultimately, the winner of the award will be decided by a vote of media representatives, national team coaches, and national team captains. However, based on their achievements in the past year, Pep Guardiola and Lionel Scaloni are the favorites to win the award.
