In the race to capture Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, PSG and Juventus are expected to compete. The 29-year-old’s contract is slated to expire at the end of the season. According to transfer analyst Alfredo Pedulla of Football Italia, Juventus are interested in bringing the midfielder back to Turin this summer, but will only be able to offer a wage package of €7-8 million. PSG, on the other hand, is willing to pay the Frenchman a six-figure wage.

During his time at Juventus, Paul Pogba rose to notoriety. He was with the team for four seasons, helping them win four consecutive Serie A crowns and two Coppa Italia titles.

In 2016, he was signed by Manchester United for a then-world-record sum of £89 million. During his time with the Red Devils, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has not lived up to his price tag. His lack of consistency, work rate, attitude, and off-field antics have all been widely criticized.

He had a strong start to the 2021-22 season, contributing seven assists in United’s first four league games. However, when on international service with France, the 29-year-old suffered a hamstring injury that forced him to miss two months.

The midfielder has struggled to regain his form since his return to action and has been in and out of Ralf Rangnick’s starting lineup. He is likely to finish his contract with United this summer and leave the club.

Pogba’s return to Juventus could be on the cards. During their time together in Turin between 2014 and 2016, the Frenchman produced some of his best football of his career under Massimilano Allegri. However, the Italian giants’ modest pay offer may jeopardize their prospects of re-signing Manchester United’s star player.PSG, a Ligue 1 powerhouse, is also interested in signing with PSG, a Ligue 1 powerhouse. Mauricio Pochettino’s team has the financial means to meet the midfielder’s demands.

The prospect of playing with Lionel Messi and Neymar could entice the Frenchman. Pogba may prefer a return to Juventus to a move to PSG because he will be reunited with Massimiliano Allegri in Turin. As a result, the Ligue 1 giants may be compelled to shift their focus to another possibility.

Pochettino’s side are interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Il Messaggero. In 45 games in all competitions, he has 10 goals and 12 assists. Manchester United, on the other hand, might be a strong contender for the 27-year-old. He is seen as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba by the Red Devils.
