Former Premier League and Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor is facing difficult moments after his niece Jayla was confirmed dead this weekend.

The Premier League pundit took to social media to share the heart-rending news of the passing on of his young niece.

According to reports, Jayla Agbonlahor, passed on at the tender age of 11. Her death is said to have been caused by a degenerate brain disorder.

Before her demise, 11-year-old Jayla, who hailed from Sutton, was unable to walk or talk and was fed through her stomach by a tube.

She also experienced frequent seizures that usually renders her paralyzed temporarily. Jayla’s health condition is said to have taken a toll on the family.

Jayla’s family usually treated her frequent seizures with cannabis oil, helping her recover and return to normalcy.

Meanwhile, sources close to the family of Jayla’ revealed the 11-year-old had struggled with the medical condition since birth, and the family doctor said Jayla’ will not live past the age of four.

However, Jayla lived 7 years more than what the doctor said, and her death is still coming as shock to the family, who thought she will sail through the medical condition to adulthood.

The news of Jayla’s demise was relayed by Gabby Agbonlahor on social media. The Premier League pundit revealed to his teeming fans that her beautiful niece and princess has passed on, saying prayers for the little girl.

He also revealed the difficulties the little girl had to pass through from birth before she died, and reiterated his endearing love for her although she is no more.

Agbonlahor wrote: “Rest in heaven now my beautiful niece princess Jayla.

“You have suffered enough in this cruel world!

“I love you and so many people will always love you!”

Agbonlahor added that he watched Jayla breathe her last breath before passing away, and was broken by the scenery as he watched on helplessly.

“Watching you take your last breaths today has broken me. We will see you soon”, he said.

Meanwhile, Jayla’s mum, Louise, said in 2017 that nothing was wrong with Jayla when she was born in 2011, but things began to turn sour immediately after her first birthday in 2012.

According to her, Jayla occasionally stop breathing and changed to blue making the family to be gripped with fear.

“When Jayla was born there was nothing wrong with her.

“But then, days after her first birthday, she stopped breathing and kept going blue,” Louise said.

She also added Jayla’ was taken to the hospital where she stayed for five months and was misdiagnosed with epilepsy. The doctors were reportedly unable to get to the root of her problem early enough and later maintained she would not survive the condition.

Jayla’s death is coming as a shock to the family and her social media followers. Before her demise, her last post was for herself which reads:

“Jayla Loren you are the most beautiful and strong princess I have ever known fly high beautiful.”

Fans and friends rushed to the comments to pay tribute to the little girl.

A fan wrote, “Never did I ever think, I will write such a heartbreaking post about such a strong and amazing superhero that you all know as Jayla…”

Another wrote, “send you my love and prayers X.”

Jayla died on January 27, after a long battle with what was later discovered as a degenerate brain disorder.
