Suarez had a penalty stopped in the second half, but was able to take it again and score, making it 4-0.

Despite a late goal by Josef Martinez, Venezuela’s prospects of qualifying for the World Cup had long since vanished.

When Uruguay face Peru in March, they have a good chance of securing World Cup qualification before they travel to Chile.
