Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal fans clashed after Arsenal’s 3-2 Premier League win over the London rivals on Sunday, April 28.

The Gunners, with just 28% of the ball possession in the first half, ran riot over the Lilywhites before the break. An own goal by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, including strikes from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka saw the Gunners race into a 3-0 lead at the interval.

Tottenham nearly completed a comeback in the second half. Cristian Romero had intercepted David Raya’s pass and fired a low shot past the goalie before Son’s spot-kick left the home side with just a goal to peg back the title hopefuls to a draw.

Arsenal did hold on to secure a 3-2 victory but ugly scenes marred the aftermath of the game. The two rival fans were caught up in a heated brawl outside the stadium.

In footage on social media, the fans could be seen clamping down on each other with punches and blows before riot police intervene and restore calm.

It is still yet to be determined what actually led to the fallout but a Tiktok user, @teltalks, who published the footage on social media, said Tottenham Hotspur fans started the fight by trying to forcefully evacuate Arsenal fans from the home end after Tottenham Hotspur lost the match.

Meanwhile, the attempted forceful evacuation was met with utmost resistance by the Arsenal fans, resulting in the fallout.

As of the time of filing this report, no arrest has been made and no casualties or injuries has been reported with the police set to launch an investigation into the incident.

Arsenal maintained their edge in their Premier League title bid with the 3-2 victory. The Gunners are a point clear on top of the table but have played a game more than close contenders Manchester City.
