Several clubs are sweating over the fitness of many key players due to injuries, following their outings for their respective nations during the international break in March 2024.

Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona are some notable clubs with key players unavailable due to injury.

The Gunners might be without Bukayo Saka for their game at the Etihad against Manchester City on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Saka exited England’s squad on March 22, 2024, due to a minor muscle injury which he sustained, although he is expected to return in the coming days.

Kane and Neuer injured for Bayern Munich

Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer also suffered an injury in training with the national team of Germany, as he tore a muscle in his left abductor.

Neuer is expected to be out of action for the coming weeks, possibly until the mid part of April 2024.

Additionally, Harry Kane also sustained an ankle injury during his international outing with England and he was released to continue his recovery process at Bayern Munich.

Kane is expected to be out of action for the next few days, and it is uncertain if he will be available for the Bavarians’ next league game against Borussia Dortmund on March 30, 2024.

Eduardo Camavinga also sustained an injury in France’s 3-2 win over Chile on March 26, 2024.

Reports indicate that it is a minor sprain, and he might not been out of action for too long.

Manchester City also witness key players missing out due to injuries in March 2024 international break

Manchester City are also worried by the injuries picked up by Kyle Walker and Matheus Nunes during their international outings with England and Portugal respectively.

Walker was substituted in the 20th minute of England’s 1-0 loss to Brazil, coming off for Ezri Konsa.

Kyle Walker subsequently withdrew from the England national team squad following a feeling of “muscle tightness”.

The Englishman’s return date is unknown, but he is doubtful for Manchester City’s game against Arsenal on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Matheus Nunes and Manuel Akanji were also players who picked up knocks during their respective international outings with Portugal and Switzerland respectively.

    Injury blow for Manchester United

Manchester United are also agitated over the injury sustained by Harry Maguire, during England’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil on March 23, 2024.

Maguire was substituted in the 67th minute of the encounter, coming off for Lewis Dunk, and he has since returned to Manchester United, having been ruled out of England’s 2-2 draw with Belgium on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

It is uncertain how serious the injury is, with the midfielder conducting scans to ascertain the state of the knock. However, reports indicate that it is not a serious injury.

Andrew Robertson also sustained an ankle injury during Scotland’s 0-1 loss to Northern Ireland on March 26, 2024.

Robertson was withdrawn in the 37th minute of the game, and he was replaced by Lewis Ferguson.

His return date is uncertain, but Liverpool are hoping that his injury isn’t as bad as feared, given vice-captain and right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has also not fully recovered from injury.

Nantes attacker Moses Simon also suffered an injury during Nigeria’s 2-0 Mali on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, and the French side have confirmed that he will be out of action until the end of the campaign.
