Toni Kroos has been seen as one of the best midfielders in world football after playing a key part in Real Madrid’s midfield.

But lately, he has seen fewer minutes at Real Madrid due to the likes of Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, and Eduardo Camavinga.

And also, his contract is meant to expire at the end of this season with the German international being linked to a Premier League move.

Recall we reported that Manchester City are keen on signing the midfield veteran from Madrid immediately his contract expires.

However, with the latest reports from Spanish news outlet Defensa Central, the comments Toni Kroos made about the Premier League have resurfaced.

Toni Kroos is one player who doesn’t hide his feelings and says things they way he sees them rather than how others want to hear them.

Recall we also reported that Kross savagely tagged Celta Vigo’s wonderkid Gabri Veiga’s move to Saudi Pro League as ’embarrassing’.

Gabri Veiga, 21, was the subject of big-name interest this summer, with Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea understood to have closely monitored him but he opted for Saudi side Al-Ahli.

Kross was not happy with the move as he made his feelings known, same way he blasted his former teammate Eden Hazard who struggled at Madrid due to injuries.

Speaking on the OMR Podcast back in 2022, Toni Kroos said: “TV money has been significantly higher in England for years, and yet it hasn’t resulted in English teams winning everything.”

“Thank God not all players look only at salary but also at winning many titles and to grow more.”

Kross made these comments after former Madrid teammate Casemiro exited the club to join Manchester United in a £70 million deal.

The former Bayern Munich player was also asked earlier this year about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu and he gave a stern response.

Kroos said: “What I have always said and is something that has not changed, is that I will not move clubs.”

“I will always stay here, I will retire here, the only thing I don’t know is when.”

One of the best midfielders of all time, Kroos mostly plays as a center midfielder but has also been used as a playmaker in deep positions.

His vision, passing, creativity, crossing, and set-piece skills are well-known.

Kross transferred to Real Madrid for €25 million in 2014.

At Madrid, Kroos won sixteen trophies, including four UEFA Champions League and three consecutive La Liga championships between 2016 and 2018. He was also named to each of those championships’ teams of the season.

Toni Kroos has made the league’s Team of the Season thrice, as well as the FIFPro World 11 and UEFA Teams of the Year three times each.

Kroos had a contract in place with Manchester United after reaching an agreement with David Moyes before joining Real Madrid. Nevertheless, Louis van Gaal, who took over from Moyes after he was fired, declined to sign Kroos.

Real Madrid revealed on July 17, 2014, that they had reached a transfer agreement for Kroos, who signed a six-year contract for an undisclosed sum.
