A Supercomputer has recently predicted the final Premier League table of the 2023/2024 campaign following the league’s matchweek three games.
However, there is still a long way to go, owing to the fact that there are still 35 games left to be played by various of these teams.
Manchester City remain favorites to win the title and make it a record breaking four in a row – I know you had them in mind too.
Pep Guardiola’s men managed to win over the weekend against newly promoted Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Erling Haaland gave the Champions the lead but Jayden Bogle’s late equaliser appeared to snatch a draw for the hosts.
Newcastle United on the other hand suffered a 2-1 defeat to ten-men Liverpool at St James’ Park, and it is not looking well for them.
The Magpies took the lead through Anthony Gordon, but the brace from Darwin Nunez in the last ten minutes saw Liverpool grab all three points.
Last weekend’s games saw the supercomputer predict that Eddie Howe’s team is likely to finish outside the top four and end the season in fifth.
Liverpool on the other hand have been backed to finish third in the table once the season concludes.
Arsenal also dropped points against Fulham after Joao Palhinha’s last-gasp equalizer and they have been predicted to finish second in the league.
Manchester United pulled a massive comeback against Nottingham Forest last weekend and boosted their chances of securing a top-four place.
The Red Devils came from behind at 2-0 down in the first four minutes of the match at Old Trafford to win 3-2.
Forest’s good start to the 2023/24 season has seen them predicted by the Supercomputer to avoid relegation and achieve a comfortable 14th pace finish.
Tottenham and Chelsea, despite their impressive wins last weekend, the Supercomputer has predicted that the two London clubs will finish seventh and sixth, respectively.
The top ten table is rounded off with Aston Villa, Brighton and Saturday night’s table toppers West Ham
Two other London Clubs, Brentford and Crystal Palace, are also expected to take the 11th and 12th positions.
Vincent Kompany’s Burnley are thought to have enough to survive relegation and end the season in 16th, despite losing their first two games of the season.
Bournemouth on the other hand, have been left to manage at the survival spot and finish in 17th place.
What do you think about all these? Do you think the Supercomputer is correct? Or you have your reservations? Let us know!
