Spain’s men’s national team have unveiled their 26-man squad for the 2024 Euros in Germany. Head coach Luis de la Fuente churned out a list of experienced and top-class footballers as the three-time European champions prepare to contest for their 4th European crown.
Leading the list of players named in the squad is Al-Nassr defender and former Manchester City star Aymeric Laporta.
Brentford loanee to Arsenal and 2023-24 Premier League Golden Glove winner, David Raya, has also made the cut following an impressive campaign with the Gunners in the 2023-24 season.
Athletic Bilbao duo Unai Simons and Nico Williams have also made Luis de la Fuente’s cut, including their teammate Daniel Vivian.
Bayer Leverkusen sensation Alex Grimaldo, 28, who has made only 3 appearances for the team since making his debut lately in 2023, is set to add to his appearance tally as he makes the list. Prolific Atletico Madrid forward and former Chelsea star Alvaro Morata will spearhead the attack for La Roja.
Fast-rising Barcelona youngster Lamine Jamal will be making his first appearance in a major international tournament for the team after his recent breakout. Other Barcelona stars Fermin Lopez, Pedri, and Ferran Torres have also been named in the squad.
Manchester City’s Rodri, PSG’s Fabian Ruiz, and Real Madrid trio – Dani Carvajal, Nacho, and Joselu, are also included in the list.

Spain 2024 Euros fixtures and how to watch
Spain are in Group B of the 2024 Euros alongside Italy, Croatia and Albania. They will open their campaign against Croatia on Saturday, June 15, 2024, before taking on Italy on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Their final group game will be against Albania on June 24. The Luis de la Fuente-led side will be heading into the tournament as favourites, having won the competition three times in 1964, 2008, and 2012. They also finished as runners-up in 1984 and at third place in 2020.
Major exclusions from Spain’s 2024 Euros squad
PSG and former Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio leads the list of big names that have been dropped by Luis de la Fuente from the team. Pau Torres and Lucas Vazquez have also missed out of the tournament. Gavi is still nursing ACL injury and has also been left out, including his Barcelona teammate Alejandro Balde.
