Southampton will travel to London to face Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur to open their 2022–23 Premier League season.
Due to how difficult last season was for Southampton, their supporters may have been the most relieved of any group of supporters to see the season come to an end after a run of one victory in 12 games in the concluding part of the 2021/22 Premier League season.
Saints, who won just nine of their 38 games, finished 15th for the second consecutive year.
Southampton will be looking to end their stagnation in 2022–23 and aspire higher than bobbing just above the relegation scrap in order to relieve pressure on manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
After the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Southampton will continue their season with a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.
On the final weekend of the season, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team will host Liverpool at St. Mary’s Stadium, and it will be a challenging finish to their campaign.
The Saints are among the busiest clubs in the English Premier League transfer window as they have secured the services of defender Bella Kotchap and recently announced the contract renewal of goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
Southampton won’t take part in any European competition but will be available for the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
The club has already updated its website with the latest kits and they can be purchased on the site. Sky Sports and BT Sport will also stream some of their games this season but tickets can be gotten from the club website.
