Shakira honored the memories of her tragic divorce from Gerard Pique with a mysterious post during the festive season of a complicated year.
The Colombian singer said that she went on vacation to Dubai for Christmas with her sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.
The kids had their first Christmas without their father, Gerard Pique this year, and they’re expected to spend the New Year with their father, in the absence of their mother.
The pop star shared a cute snapshot on Twitter of herself and her two sons holding a falcon as they are all dressed in white during the Christmas holiday.
The singer captioned the photo, “In the desert looking for serenity this Christmas”.
According to sources, Shakira flew to the UAE on Wednesday and is scheduled to stay there through December 30 before giving the kids to their father.
According to the source, the ex-couple’s final argument contained the day the two boys would return with their mother after her January 5 move to Miami.
The footballer wishes to put off the relocation of his children to Miami because he wants to take his kids to the Three Kings procession in Barcelona. But he only has this new year day to spend quality time with the boys before they will join their mother in line with a signed agreement.
Meanwhile, Shakira has expressed gratitude to her fans and best wishes for the new year in her lastest post.
She penned: “Thanks for all the love and support you gave me and my kids during this year.”
“I wish you a sweet holiday. Here’s to a 2023 that’s filled with peace and hope.”

Pique and Clara Chia, his 23-year-old new lover, currently share a penthouse apartment.
Following unverified reports that Pique was having an affair with a younger lady, Shakira and Pique made their breakup public in May.
The soccer player’s romance with Clara Chia, 23, became public immediately after he and Shakira declared their breakup.
