Hollywood top actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney spearheaded the massive celebrations of their club, Wrexham, promotion.

Wrexham leased out three open-top buses to parade across the streets of the town and the Reynolds alongside McElhenney were also in transit.

As expected, thousands of fans came out to bask in the massive celebrations.

But a lot of viewers were left astonished by the British Broadcasting Corporations‘ exclusive live coverage.

One stated: “Well done to Wrexham. Not sure, though, how their victory parade is “Breaking News” on BBC News.”

Another wrote: “Sorry. Great for Wrexham AFC but would National BBC 6pm news have live coverage of the parade without the celebrities? They are champions of Division 5.”

A third stated: “The BBC Wrexham obsession along with other media outlets is ridiculous, can’t remember Stockport County getting this much attention last year.”

The male senior team of Wrexham won the English National League after a well fought title race with Notts County.

Ryan Reynolds was highly in the mood for the bash

A 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood confirmed promotion back into the English Football League for the first time in 15 years and caused emotional reactions at the Racecourse Ground before garnering a whopping 111 points.

Wrexham forward Paul Mullin, who netted 38 league goals this campaign, said he managed just 20 minutes of nap on a physio’s table at 6am after an electric night of celebrations.

The 28-year-old told the Tubes & Ange Golf Life: “We went out, we went into a local bar!

“But when we got there it was just too packed, honestly, it was chaos, just people everywhere in the streets!

“So, we set off back from there to the stadium to all be together and spend a bit of time with each other.

“Because, in there you just couldn’t move because there were so many people!

“It was an unbelievable night, and 6am comes, and I’m climbing on to a physio’s bed to try and get some kip!”

Wrexham have been making moves for the new English Football League Two season as they are eyeing retired Welsh legend Gareth Bale who claims that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney can’t tempt him out of retirement.

Bale, when questioned whether he will come out of retirement to play for Wrexham whilst receiving an award at the Sports Industry awards in London responded: “No, I don’t think so.”

Rob McElhenney was certainly in high spirit for the triumphant parade

The former Real Madrid player sent McElhenney a personal message which the actor posted to Twitter.

“Hi Rob, just want to congratulate you on your promotion and everything you’re doing at Wrexham”

Rob McElhenney invited Gareth Bale to play a round of golf with him, where he has hilariously suggested he will try and convince him to join the Wrexham revolution.

He posted: “Hey @GarethBale11 let’s play golf, where I totally won’t spend 4 hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season.

The Red Dragons already tempted Ben Foster out of retirement to assist them in their promotion battle with Notts County as it became fiercer.

Another Wales Euro 2016 hero and former West Bromwich Albion attacker Hal Robson-Kanu, has also proposed to come out of retirement to play for Wrexham.
