The outgoing owner of Chelsea football club, Roman Abramovich has resumed his role as a member of the team trying to broker peace between his country, Russia and Ukraine.

Futballnews reported earlier in the week that Roman Abramovich was one of three negotiators that reportedly suffered symptoms of ‘chemical weapons poisoning‘ after he flew from Moscow to Kyiv for a peace talk in the first week of March.

He and other negotiators (two Ukrainians) affected by the chemical weapons poisoning reportedly exhibited symptoms like “eye and skin inflammation and piercing pain in the eyes”.

However, reports in the United States later claimed that Roman Abramovich and others did not suffer “chemical weapons poisoning” as earlier reported. The 55-year-old Russian billionaire and the Ukrainian negotiators reportedly suffered the effect of environmental pollution.

Yet, the negotiators were warned not to eat, drink and touch surfaces or objects when they are on the field trying to broker peace between the two warring countries.

A few days after the reports that he had suffered symptoms of chemical weapons poisoning, Roman Abramovich flew to Istanbul, Turkey for two days of peace talks between Russian negotiators, Ukraine negotiators, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip ErdoÄźan.

A picture that emerged from the meeting showed Abramovich sitting on a chair while trying to listen to the speech of president ErdoÄźan via headphones.

He made himself famous after becoming the owner of Chelsea and made the club extremely successful.

Unlike other members of the Russian Oligarchies, it is believed that Abramovich has always tried to distance himself from other members of the Oligarchies.

Over the years, the 55-year-old Russian billionaire has invested time and money trying to be famous outside Russia. He has been doing that by investing in businesses and buying properties outside the country.

In the same vein, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is said to have huge respect and admiration for Roman Abramovich.

The Ukrainian government believes that he is the go-to person when Ukraine needs to negotiate with Vladimir Putin of Russia.

Hence, the country named him to be among the team that has been saddled with the responsibility of settling the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
