Brazilian forward, Richarlison has noted that he is not sure of what the future holds for him amid interest from top European clubs.

The 24-year-old Brazilian center-forward has been at Everton since July 24, 2018, after he joined the Premier League club from Watford for a transfer fee worth €39.20 million.

Since then, Richarlison has made 123 appearances in all competitions for Everton in which he scored 43 goals and provided 10 assists for the club.

After a busy 2020-2021 Premier League schedule, Everton allowed him to represent Brazil in Copa America. Richarlison played a major role in helping his country to get to the final of the tournament. He scored a goal and provided an assist in the tournament.

Unfortunately for him and his Brazilian teammates, Argentina stopped them from winning the South America title on their home ground.

Immediately after the Copa America, Everton permitted him to represent Brazil in the just concluded Tokyo Olympic Games. Richarlison also played a vital role in ensuring that Brazil returned to South America with the Olympic gold medal for men’s football.

After he returned to Everton for the 2021-2022 season, the Brazilian striker made four Premier League appearances in which he scored a goal and provided an assist.

He is expected to at least double his goalscoring output this season. Recall that he scored 7 goals last season which is not good enough for his role as a striker.

Despite his inadequate goalscoring record, Richarlison was reportedly a target of Paris Saint Germain during the last summer transfer window. Barcelona almost signed him during the 2020 summer transfer window but Everton refused to let him go.

Reports also claimed that other top clubs are eying him ahead of the January transfer window and also in the forthcoming 2022 summer transfer window.

While talking about his next possible move, Richarlison said: “I’m always very careful when I talk about it. I have great affection for the people of Everton and for the club, who received me so well from the first day I arrived.

“I don’t know what the future holds. If one day I have to go, it must be good for me, but also the club.

“But if I stay, I will continue giving my life for this shirt and for the fans, who have always supported me and were with me at all times.

“I have enormous gratitude and feel at home when I am at Finch Farm training ground or Goodison Park stadium.”

Richarlison who is currently battling a knee injury has three seasons left on his contract with Everton. His contract with the Premier League club will expire in June 2024. His current transfer market value is €55 million.
