Son emerges as a top target for Real Madrid

The 29-year-old had a standout season, helping Spurs win a Champions League spot while tying Mo Salah for the league lead scorer with 23 goals and earning his first Gloden Boot.

Son has been consistent in north London over the past six years, and this has caught Real’s attention in Spain.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Son is on the 14-time Champions League champions’ shortlist of forward players to recruit this summer.

After losing Gareth Bale, Carlo Ancelotti wants to strengthen his offensive line. The deal for Isco is also about to expire, and Liverpool is interested in Marco Asensio, who may move to the Premier League.

Son, who has 131 goals and 73 assists in 324 games for Tottenham, is one of a select group of forwards who have been mentioned as potential targets for Real Madrid, according to The Sun.

Real had planned to sign Kylian Mbappe, but after a well-publicized snub, they were furious. Erling Haaland’s acquisition also went through, with the Norwegian ending up at Manchester City.
