Chelsea forward, Christian Pulisic has disclosed Thomas Tuchel’s intention about playing him on a new role in the team at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Pulisic played under Tuchel when he was in Germany in 2015-Borussia Dortmund precisely, but had a reunion with his former boss when he was appointed Chelsea boss last month.

But the Blues’ number 10 has revealed Tuchel’s plan to play him as a false striker in the squad.

In Chelsea’s last tie with Burnley, he beautifully assisted Marcos Alonso’s goal- through a volley- as the London side breeze through Sean Dyche’s men on Sunday, 2-0 it went at the encounter.

Meanwhile, Pulisic had expressed his happiness on his performance against Burnley, paving the way on how Tuchel could make use of him in later matches.

“It’s a kind of a false striker, It’s been good so far. We’ve got a new outlook on things; we have had a really good win so it’s been a positive start.” the American said

“It’s been some crazy times recently and just to get a win left all the guys in the changing room were really excited. We have had a lot of fun in training and there are smiles on faces which are good to see.” He added

The American had earlier narrated his encounter with Tuchel when he was at Dortmund, saying that the German coach had believed in him.

“The manager trusted in me and most importantly gave me chances to play, so I am grateful for that. He definitely helped me as a young player and I only have good memories of that time.” He said

“We had some success at Dortmund together, and it’s been good to see him again and work with him once more.”

In the quest to turn around Chelsea’s difficulties at the club, Tuchel is looking for ways to utilize the club’s talents, as they were not involved in the winter transfer windows.
