Antonio Conte is rumored to be interested in taking over as manager of Paris Saint-Germain following the probable dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino. Winning the 2022 Ligue 1 title won’t be enough for Pchettino to keep his job.

Conte is thought to be interested in leaving Tottenham and taking over as manager at the Parc des Princes, with the Ligue 1 winners poised to split ways with the Argentine at the end of the season. PSG’s crowning as French champions will not be enough to keep Pochettino after the club’s poor Champions League campaign, and the 50-year-old and his staff will be entitled to about £12.5 million in compensation.

Pochettino was connected with a move to Manchester United, but the Red Devils instead appointed Erik ten Hag as their next permanent manager. According to the Times, Conte has emerged as a likely successor.

Conte’s contract expires this summer, and despite Spurs’ recent improvement, he has expressed his unhappiness with the challenge in North London, where Spurs are fighting for Champions League football this season.

Zinedine Zidane was believed to be PSG’s top priority to succeed Pochettino, despite the fact that the Frenchman has been without a club since departing Real Madrid for the second time in 2021.

Between 2016 and 2018, the 49-year-old achieved enormous success with the Spanish giants, winning two La Liga titles and three successive Champions League trophies.

The Argentine has failed to bring the Champions League, PSG’s most prized trophy, and failed to win it last season. PSG has also lost in the Champions League this season. Pochettino’s current contract is set to expire in a year, after which he will be fired “immediately.”

The club’s board is supposed to want him to depart, and he is said to be thinking about it. Following a 1-1 draw with Lens on Saturday, PSG was crowned French champions with four games to spare.

However, winning the league trophy may not be enough to save Pochettino, who has been under enormous pressure since PSG was knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16 by Real Madrid.

According to current statistics, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has offered himself to PSG and is willing to sign a two-year contract with the French club. Conte joined Tottenham on an 18-month contract in November and has managed to turn the club’s fortunes around, propelling them to the Premier League.

Spurs are presently fifth in the Premier League, two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, with five games remaining. While Conte has been connected with PSG, the French club would prefer to hire Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid manager, according to reports.
