French Ligue 1 giants PSG have completed the signing of former Inter Milan and Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar.
Speaking at his unveiling as new PSG player, Skriniar expressed his delight joining the biggest club in France and in the world with big-name players and and great fans.
“PSG are one of the strongest clubs in the world with world-class players and fantastic fans,” Skriniar said.
“I am very happy to be part of this wonderful club.”
Skriniar played for six years for Inter Milan and was a key member of the squad for five seasons, making over 30 Serie A appearances each season.
However, last season, Milan Skriniar’s struggled for his place in the squad. He managed only 21 Serie A appearances and made only 8 Champions League appearances in Inter Milan’s 13 Champions League matches.
It was pretty clear the legendary Slovakia defender will leave following the expiration of his six-year contract.
Inter Milan reportedly offered Skriniar a contract renewal offer but he turned it down to push through PSG move.
Milan Skriniar won the 2020/21 Serie A title with Inter Milan, including a domestic double last season.
According to reports, a number of high profile clubs in Europe were lining up to sign Skriniar as he neared the ends of his Inter Milan contract.
Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur were interested in a move for Milan Skriniar, including Newcastle United but PSG were on the pole position to sign the player with a lucrative offer on the table for the player.
Skriniar joined Inter Milan from Serie A side Sampdoria in 2017. The top center-back had made a total of 193 Serie A appearances for Inter Milan, scoring 10 goals.
Skriniar is known for his strength, quick tackles and ability to conquer aerial duells, including one-on-one situations.

Skriniar is a Slovak professional football star who plays as a defender for Paris Saint Germain and Slovakia national team.
Skriniar is the captain of Slovakia national team and has been known for his imposing cadence and leadership qualities.
Playing as a center-back, Skriniar started his career with Zilina, a Slovakian club playing in the Super Liga, Slovakia’s elite football division. He made 77 appearances, scoring 12 goals before joining Zlate Moravice on loan.
Skriniar returned to Zilina in 2013 after his loan spell with Zlate Moravice. In 2016, he joined Sampdoria where he was subsequently poached by Inter Milan following an impressive debut season with the club.
At Zilina, Skriniar won the Super Liga and Slovak Super Cup. He has won the Serie A, Copa Italia and Supercopa Italiana with Inter Milan.
Skriniar is the captain of Slovakia national team and has made 60 appearances for the team since making his debut in 2016.
He has won Slovakia Footballer of the year three times.

Skriniar is joining PSG on a five-year contract. According to reports, he has been offered a €12m-per-season deal by PSG.
