Premier League Clubs are ready for a move for Mason Greenwood but are awaiting Manchester United’s decision on the player’s future.

Greenwood, who has 14 months left on his Manchester United contract, and 2 months left on his loan contract with Getafe, will enter the crucial stages of his career in the following weeks.

The 22-year-old came out unscathed from strong allegations of rape, sexual assault, and abuse in 2022, but had his career stalled for 18 months in the process.

He has returned to elite-level performance following a short-term loan spell with Getafe which will expire in the next two months.

Futballnews understands Manchester United have yet to decide on his future after his loan spell. New co-owner and overseer of the club’s footballing operations, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, said in his maiden press conference that the club are ready to revisit their decision on Mason Greenwood. Sir Jim’s positive comments on the saga sparked rumors the INEOS supremo could extend an olive branch to the youngster.

However, sources close to the Old Trafford outfit have disclosed Greenwood is likely to be sold out permanently when his loan deal expires.

United are in dire need of forwards in the class of Greenwood with Antony struggling for form. However, close sources reveal the club would want to keep away from the rape saga to avoid unnecessary media scrutiny and attention.

Amid uncertainties on the future of the player at Old Trafford, Getafe and other LaLiga clubs have expressed concrete interest in the player.

It is understood Getafe may not afford Greenwood, but are open to another loan deal for the player but United reportedly wants a permanent exit solution.

According to Daily Mail, Premier League clubs are also lining up a move for Greenwood should United decide to part ways with the player.

The sudden expression of interest in the 22-year-old by undisclosed Premier League outfits could be linked to Greenwood’s superb form in the Spanish topflight with Getafe.

The prolific winger has made 25 league appearances for Getafe, scoring 6 goals with 5 assists. He has also bagged a double in Copa Del Rey.

As things stand, the future of Greenwood is still a subject of speculation pending when Manchester United will decide on the future of the player officially.
