Paul Pogba has reportedly switched to acting while the former Manchester United midfielder remains a banned footballer.
According to reports, the Juventus player will appear in a French movie by director Fabien Onteniente. He’s been handed to play the role of educator for young footballers.
What happened to Paul Pogba?
It is no news that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner was handed a four-year ban from playing football, imposed by the Italian anti-doping tribunal, following a failed doping test in August 2023, which he is still serving.
However, the 2012 Serie A winner seems to be using his time out well as ESPN reported last week that the 31-year-old Frenchman was seen in Rueil-Malmaison, the western suburbs of Paris, shooting some scenes.
A French paper named Le Parisien has also published some of Paul Pogba’s pictures on the set with director Fabien Onteniente.
The movie is understood to be a sequel to a popular football film made in 2002, and it is titled “4 Zéros.”
The 2013 Golden Boy Award winner has been chosen to play the role of young footballers’ educator and according to a report from the crew members, Pogba has really impressed the crew with his spontaneity.
A crew member was speaking about Pogba’s performance in the movie, he said; “He amazed everyone with his naturalness and simplicity. He visibly appreciated the experience and said he was ready, why not, to reproduce it further.”
How large will Paul Pogba appear in the movie?
Meanwhile, It’s unspecific how large Pogba’s role in the aforementioned film will be, but the film is set to be released in April 2025, offering fans a chance to see the midfielder in a new light on the big screen.
