Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has secured the first position as the highest earner in Serie A following his recent contract and bonuses with Napoli.

The Nigeria International has risen above Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic in the Italian topflight earnings list.

The 25-year-old, who joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020, put pen to paper on a new contract in December 2023 that earns him a monthly salary of £1.29 million, almost doubling his previous pay.

Victor Osimhen was acquired by Napoli for a fee of around €75 million and the Nigeria international has gone on to establish himself as one of the most sensational strikers in the world.

Osimhen’s new salary was a reward for his outstanding performance in the 2022/23 season where he fired Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years and he also capped it off with the league topscorer award after scoring 26 league goals.

According to reports, Napoli refused an offer of more than 200 million euros for Victor Osimhen from a team in Saudi Arabia last summer.

However, Victor Osimhen is the highest earner in Serie A with £253,005 per week while Mbappe is the highest earner in the French Ligue 1 and also in Europe’s top five leagues with a £1,182,110 weekly wage.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020, signed a new contract in December that earns him a weekly wage of £253,005 almost doubling his previous earnings.

Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus secures the second spot in the Italian top flight, earning €249,231 per week.

When the Italian powerhouse secured his services from Fiorentina, the striker was seen as Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-term replacement but he’s still yet to live up to the high standards set by the former United player, having registered 35 goals and a further eight assists for his current club.

Wojciech Szczesny (£197,675) and Alex Sandro (£182,406) secured the third and fourth spots, meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu is the fifth with £182,406, per week.

English Premier League top five earners

Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne is the highest earner in the Premier League with a staggering amount reportedly worth £400,000 per week.

Players in Manchester clubs dominate the top five highest earners in the English topflight as Erling Haaland earning £375,000 per week.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is third in the list earning £350,000 per week. Manchester United players round out the top five with Casemiro and Raphael Varane earning £350,000 per week and £340,000 respectively.

Spanish La Liga’s top five earners

Frenkie De Jong

Frenkie De Jong who has been strongly linked with a move to Man United earns £615,682 per week in Barcelona

Behind De Jong is teammate Robert Lewandowski who earns £444,605 per week.

Real Madrid trio Toni Kroos, David Alaba, and Luka Modric complete the top five with £400,276, £369,409, and £359,230 earned per week respectively.

German Bundesliga top five earners

Harry Kane

Manuel Neuer (£344,782), Thomas Muller (£336,573), Leroy Sane (£328,364) and Joshua Kimmich (£320,155) follow as the Bundesliga’s top five earners.

French Ligue 1 top five earners

Kylian Mbappe

The 25-year-old French forward has been a constant threat in Ligue 1 defense since emerging from Monaco’s youth in 2016. A permanent move to the country’s biggest club came to completion in 2018 and he has since been in excellent form.

Ousmane Dembele another PSG star is the division’s second highest-paid player as he currently earns £328,364 per week.

Lucas Hernandez (£311,946), Marquinhos (£275,826), and Milan Skriniar (£268,602) earned a big amount at Parc des Princes.
