Mikel Arteta has confirmed the club’s decision on Gabriel Jesus amidst reports linking the player to summer transfer exit.

The former Manchester City attacking midfielder has seen his fortunes with the North London outfit nosedive due to a series of injuries that has reduced his minutes with the club.

He has three years left on his Arsenal contract but has been linked to a summer exit amidst his dwindling fortunes.

However, Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta has come out to debunk reports the club is ready to sell the £46m-signing from Manchester City.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League match with Bournemouth, Arteta confirmed Gabriel Jesus is still considered key to the team and the club does not have any plan of parting ways with the player.

“I don’t know where reports about Gabriel Jesus exit are coming from”.

“We have NO intention of letting Gabriel leave.”

Gabriel Jesus made 26 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists.

This season, he has made 24 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals with 4 assists.

The Brazilian, who has struggled with injuries will be in contention to start for the Gunners as they take on Bournemouth on Saturday, May 4.

After winning 4 Premier League titles with Manchester City, the 27-year-old is set to win the English topflight again with Arsenal, who are leading the race for the title.
