Marcus Rashford is making the best of his time off due to injury. The forward, 22, was initially ruled out for two weeks due to a back injury. After a medical scan, it was announced that Rashford would be out for six to eight weeks with a stress fracture of the back. As disappointing as it is, United have since adjusted with the signings of Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo, who is set to make his debut after the winter break.
Marcus Rashford, who has been updating his fans on social media, was seen pictured with a number of American celebrities during the super bowl 2020. One, in particular, is a picture of the England international alongside legendary rapper Sean ”Jay Z” Carter. The pair linked up in Miami for the super bowl weekend. However, rumors have it, that talks on Rashford joining Roc Nation Sports were also held.
The Man United star reportedly held negotiation talks with Roc Nation representatives during the super bowl. It was also revealed that the meeting was his reason for traveling to America. Rashford will be the latest high profile Premier League player the agency will target to join their list of the already talented roster. Roc Nation reportedly wants to take care of his talent management and commercial opportunities.
So far, Jay-Z’s talented roster includes Rashford’s former Old Trafford team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who was the first to join the agency. Manchester City’s and Belgium international star Kevin De Bruyne and young sensation Chelsea’s Reece James are also being represented by the agency.
After negotiations were done, Rashford enjoyed the Superbowl final on Sunday night between winners Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Rashford shared pics online hanging out with Jay Z, Shaquille O’Neal, Meek Mill, and comedian Kevin Hart.
Excited to be a part of the American culture and attend the Super Bowl, Rashford took to his Instagram to share a series of photos and he captioned the post:
”Probably one of the only Superbowls I could have seen live during my career and what an experience.”
Rashford has missed five games already due to injury which he picked up during United’s frustrating goalless draw at Old Trafford against Wolves. United are hoping to have Rashford back in time for Europa but will do with settling with their new signee Odion Ighalo. With Pogba and Mctominay still out on injury, it seems Ole will have to rely on Greenwood as a second striker and back up to Martial and Ighalo. Manchester United are currently six points behind fourth-place Chelsea.
