Marcus Rashford was seen confronting a fan inside Old Trafford during Manchester United’s warm-up ahead of their clash against Newcastle United on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

A viral clip shared on social media displayed the England international having a back-and-forth with a supporter as he prepared himself before the encounter.

Rashford started the encounter from the bench, having not featured for the Red Devils since Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final win against Coventry City on April 21, 2024, due to an ankle problem.

Footage showed Marcus Rashford having a heated exchange with a member of the crowd, striding away from his teammates to the touchline as they went through the formal pre-match stretches.

Another clip then displayed Rashford being ushered away from the touchline by his teammates, with Christian Eriksen spotted trying to grab his arm.

A fan can be overheard telling those sitting near a group of photographers to “just leave him (Rashford) alone.”

Another supporter was heard yelling as the Manchester United players walked to the dressing room after completing their warm-up, saying: “Don’t listen to him Rashford.”

Marcus Rashford was cheered on by supporters as he entered the fray in the second half of Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle United, replacing Kobbie Mainoo.

    Marcus Rashford

The Englishman has endured a torrid campaign, failing to hit the heights that he got to last season.

Rashford has scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 41 appearances this campaign, 12 goals lesser than his 30-goal mark last term, and 5 assists lesser than the 10 assists he recorded last season.

Marcus Rashford has battled through injuries and off-field issues this season, with him also receiving a massive bashing for his underwhelming showing this campaign.

The 26-year-old also spoke out against the abuses he has received in recent months, expressing in a tweet on April 26, 2024, that “enough is enough”.

He made this comment on a post via X which reads: “The way Marcus Rashford is being treated is absolutely disgusting. It’s cruel. It’s abuse.”, Rashford in response wrote: “I appreciate your support! It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough.”

Marcus Rashford has continued to receive much criticism, with the attacker apparently getting to a boiling point during the pre-match warm-up on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Rashford “Disciplined” By Manager Erik Ten Hag

Earlier this campaign, Rashford had faced the wrath of manager Erik ten Hag after he was seen on a night out in Belfast.

The night out in Belfast affected him from turning up to training, and that cost him a place in Manchester United’s squad for their FA Cup clash against Newport County on January 28, 2024.

Moreover, Manchester United defeated Newcastle United 3-2 on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, to return to winning ways, having gone on a run of 3 matches without a win in all competitions.

Rashford looked lively after he was introduced in the 83rd minute, as he caused some problems to the defense of the Magpies.

Anyway, Manchester United will be hoping that he can come good in their last two matches this campaign, with one being away against Brighton and Hove Albion, in the final league game of the season, on May 19, 2024.

Their culminating game for the term across all competitions is an FA Cup final clash against Manchester City on May 25, 2024, and they will be looking to snatch the trophy away from the Cityzens, having slumped to a 2-1 defeat in the final last season.
