After a barren first-half draw, Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot to give United the lead before Moises Caicedo scored a stunning equalizer to peg the home side to a 1-1 draw.

It was a slow start to the game in the second half with both sides struggling to muster a few chances. Chelsea’s biggest chance at the start of the second half came in the 55th minute.
The Blues had the ball worked out to Neto on the left. The former Wolves man shifted past his defender before smashing a low effort goalwards but it rolled off just an inch past the United’s right post.
Manchester United won a penalty
The turning point of the game came in the 68th minute when Manchester United won a penalty. Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana had misjudged the flight of Casemiro’s diagonal ball into the box.
Rasmus Hojlund then managed to bring it down and nip the ball past Sanchez. The Chelsea goalkeeper brought the striker down, and the referee pointed straight to the spot.
Bruno Fernandes converted it with ease, firing a low shot toward the left post while Robert Sanchez dived to his right.
However, four minutes later, Chelsea netted the equalizer. Cole Palmer had sent the Blues’ corner into the box. Casemiro nodded it away but it fell for Moises Caicedo, who smashed home a quite superb first-time strike into the bottom corner of the post.

With the scores tied at 1-1, Manchester United had a chance to score the winner just a minute before regulation time. Alejandro Garnacho had attempted an acrobatic flick from the penalty area. He beat Robert Sanchez but the attempt flew over the crossbar.
