Ibrahima Konate has confirmed he will be available for Liverpool’s Champions League match against Bundesliga reigning champion Bayer Leverkusen.

However, he has confirmed the extent of the injury after undergoing a scan.

Konate said, “Thanks for all the messages of support. My injury isn’t serious, thankfully. I had a scan today, and it confirmed there is no break. I’ll be ready for the next game.”

Konate was replaced by Joe Gomez as Liverpool came from behind to defeat the Seagulls to return to the top of the Premier League table.

Konate was substituted after Virgil Van Dijk unknowingly stepped on his hand during a corner.
