Manchester City has completed the signing of Spanish under 21 winger Ferran Torres from Valencia for an initial fee of 20 million-plus ad-on. The Winger became Pep Guardiola’s first summer signing after Leroy Sane joined German Champions Bayern Munich.

¬†Ferran Torres Garcia, 20, is a product of Valencia youth system, he joined at the age of six, playing 12 times with one goal. He was promoted to the club’s B-side in 2017/18 and scored his first goal against Peralada Girouna B in a 4-1 win. He was moved to the first team in 2018 and renewed his contract after rumors linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

He won the Copa Del Rey with Valencia in the 2018/19 season, and on the international stage, he has won UEFA U-17 and U-19 Championship with Spain in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

He made his LaLiga debut in a 2-1 loss against Eibar. In contrast, he made his Champions League debut against Young Boys in their 1-1 draw and scored a Champions League goal in the 4-1 win against French club Lille to become Valencia’s youngest goalscorer in the Champions League. At the same time, he scored his first La Liga goal in January 2019 after coming on as a substitute against Celta Vigo.

He has a total of 109 appearances for the club, with ten goals to his name. Torres in Spain his regarded as a fast dribbler who can play on either wing with great ability and intelligence. He has a good pace, technique with close control of the ball at full speed, which gives him the advantage to outrun his markers easily.

Torres is the youngest Valencia player to reach 50 appearances just at the age of 19 and 324 days, scoring against Real Betis in the league to mark his anniversary. 

The new Man City Spanish winger completed his transfer and signed a contract of five years until 2025.
