Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has released a shocking fact about his prostate cancer, stating he has been using a urine bag for the past three years. 

He claimed he was gradually coping in his battle with prostrate cancer.

In his latest interview with Spanish outlet AS, Van Gaal revealed the current situation of his cancer, saying, “I have been living with the disease for just over three years, with radiation, hormone injections, operations, catheters, and urine bags.”

“It’s unbelievable, but I can handle it. I have managed it, and I have been able to do it even while working during the last World Cup.”

“I even think that during the World Cup I managed it even better because I had a goal. And with the cancer process, it happens just like with the process of being a coach: you look for a goal. For me, it was positive to deal with both things.”

The manager revealed he had been used to death after his father died when he was 11 years old and his first wife died at the age of 39.

In addition to his experience in life and how his mother died looking healthy despite lying helplessly on the sick bed, Van Gaal revealed his attitude won’t change towards life. 

Van Gaal was in charge of the Netherlands national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup despite suffering from the horrible disease.

Also, he enjoyed a dazzling career at Ajax, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and arguably Manchester United.
