Liverpool fans couldn’t hold back their excitement as they took to their social media pages. The excitement is due to the prospect of signing Ousmane Dembele. Yes you read right, the Barcelona star triggered rumors when he liked a mocked-up picture of him wearing a Reds kit on Instagram. The Frenchman’s future at the Nou Camp is up in the air.
Liverpool aren’t expected to do too much more business in this window after signing Takumi Minamino. Minamino cost just £7.25million from Red Bull Salzburg and should prove to be a bargain for them.
But they may want to reconsider their options of Dembele’s interest in joining Liverpool is real. His fee, however, would be considerably high, and it may have to be a transfer that waits until the summer.
A post which was uploaded to a Liverpool fan account which shows Dembele in a club kit, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, was liked by the former Borussia Dortmund’s account.
Dembele has been in and out of the Barcelona side since he joined them from Dortmund two years ago.
