    Christopher Galtier may have to revisit his tactical plan at PSG after their talisman Kylian Mbappe took a slight dig at the team’s tactics after France’s 2-0 win over Austria in UEFA Nations League on Thursday.

    Kylian Mbappe admitted that he is being restricted in his playing role at PSG putting a strain on his performance compared to in France team in which he is freer.

    Mbappe’s statement is coming at the backdrop of a feud which ensued between him and teammate Neymar Jr which nearly tore apart PSG’s dressing room.

    Recall that the 22-year-old fell out with the former Barcelona and Brazilian winger, with dressing room brawls reported, including on-pitch disagreement and collisions.

    PSG manager Christoph Galtier had to wade into the face-off. He later admitted that the brewing feud that would affect the chances of the Parisians was finally settled.

    Nevertheless, Mbappe’s comments after France’s 2-0 UEFA Nations League win have shown that the highly-rated youngster is unsettled at the club and may not have the best moments in Galtier’s team.

    Speaking with reporters after the win over Austria, Kylian Mbappe said;

    “How they ask me to play here is different. With France, I have much more freedom than at PSG. The coach knows that there is a ‘9’ like Giroud and I can move and go to the space that creates. In Paris it is different, they ask me to play pivot.” The striker was then asked if he enjoyed playing with the national team, to which he replied: “Of course. I enjoy myself everywhere.”

    When it seemed that the game will end in a barren draw after the first half saw no goals from either team, Mbappe picked up his game in the 56th minute to fire a rocket into the net for an opening goal.

    The youngster waltzed through a tight and resilient Austria defense with great dribbling skills before he fired home the goal.

    Former Chelsea and AC Milan ace Olivier Giroud scored the second to secure a vital three points for the Deschamps’ squad, who were teetering on the brink of relegation.

    Despite the win, France are still not safe from relegation as they have to win against Denmark in Copenhagen if they want to escape relegation.

    Despite his comment, which suggests that he is unsettled at PSG, Kylian Mbappe’s form this season has not dipped. He has scored 10 goals in nine matches for the Parisians.

    Nevertheless, Christoph Galtier still has a job to gel his PSG team and promote harmony between players. Kylian Mabappe’s comments are a clue to the former Nice manager that his talisman wants more to be done as per the team’s tactics.

    PSG currently sits on top of the French Ligue 1 table with 22 points after 8 matches. They have won 7 matches, drew one, and scored 26 goals, conceding only 4.
