Kylian Mbappe Thrilled By His Display For France Against Luxembourg

Mbappe was delighted by his outing on the day and he shared a post on Instagram, expressing that it was a “nice evening full of fun” to commence preparation for Euro 2024.

Mbappe recently penned a dream move to Real Madrid, putting an end to years of speculations surrounding the footballer’s future.

The 25-year-old will captain the French national team at the 2024 European Championship, having been appointed captain of Les Blues in March 2023.

Manager Deschamps was full of praise for Kylian Mbappe, with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner manager saying in a presser that the attacker is a “formidable leader”.

The French tactician said: “Mbappe is a formidable leader ever since he’s been with us.

“He did a good job today … his head and body weren’t used to playing very much these past couple of weeks, so some juice was missing … but he decided he wants to win everything, it’s gotten way better for him. He has been a good example all week.”

Kylian Mbappe has made 368 club career appearances thus far, scoring 283 goals and providing 124 assists in all competitions.

The former AS Monaco player is also amongst players tipped as favorites for the Ballon d’Or, having netted 44 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.

If Mbappe does help France win the 2024 European Championship, it could aid his chances at winning the individual honor, although he will be competing with Real Madrid teammates; Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham for the prize.

Vinicius Jr and Bellingham are in a better position to win the Ballon d’Or, following their remarkable season with Los Blancos, winning the La Liga, UEFA Champions League, and Spanish Super Cup.

The pair also have continental engagements to focus on in the coming days, with Brazil aiming to win the 2024 Copa America, while England are hoping to clinch the 2024 European Championship.
