Kyle Walker is said to be in advanced talks with Bayern Munich over a potential move with Tuchel pushing for the deal.
Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is keen on the deal and is said to be ‘a key factor’ in the plan to bring the defender to Bundesliga.
Walker was not part of the starting line-up in Manchester City’s Champions League final which is raising speculations of him leaving the club.
Florian Plettenberg, Sky Germany Reporter, shared on Twitter that the club and the player were in advanced talks though there’s no agreement yet.
Plettenberg Twitted: “All parties optimistic to finalize the deal, with Man City looking ahead to trying to defend their three trophies next season.”
Recent reports have it that Sheffield United were keen on bringing Walker to Yorkshire, although a move to Munich means he will play in the Champions League next season.
Sheffield United is Walker’s childhood club and they will love to welcome the defender back home following his exit in 2009.
