Juventus have confirmed the signing of Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski from Atalanta for an initial fee of €35m to be paid in five installments.

FutballNews reports that the Swede will finish his pre-existing season-long loan at Parma before moving to Turin in the summer. The 19-year-old starlet has impressed during the first half of the campaign for the Serie A side, starting each of his team’s 17 Serie A games and registering a combined 11 goals and assists in the process.

It is understood that there is also the potential for around €9m of conditional add-ons to inflate his price tag in the future. According to reports, Kulusevski will earn €2.5m per season to begin with, with that figure set to rise in each year of his four-and-a-half-year contract. Juventus announced the news of his arrival on their official website on Thursday evening.

Kulusevski, who can also play in midfield, began his career at IF Brommapojkarna in his native Sweden before signing a youth contract at Atalanta in 2016. His Nerazzurri debut came three years later in a 5-0 win over Frosinone.

Kulusevski made his senior international debut in November and some of the Europe big club big clubs such as Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Arsenal have sent scouts to watch him in recent weeks. The Swede agent is believed to have already met clubs over a transfer move next season and his value could go up if he performs well for Sweden at the upcoming European championships.

Despite interest in him, the player has said that he has no intention of leaving Parma or a move away from the Serie A in January. According to the 19-year-old, he is happy playing football at Parma.

He said: “I’m fine at Parma, I’m happy to be here, I’ve found the perfect club.

“The market? I’m playing well, so it’s normal to write about other clubs, but I don’t think about (a January move) because I have an annual deal with Parma.”
