Based on a report from Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Jose Mourinho would be open to exiting AS Roma this summer only if specific teams would come for his signature.

The Portuguese was appointed as manager of AS Roma in 2021, just a few months after his ouster from Tottenham Hotspur.

He won the Europa Conference League with Roma in 2022

Mourinho lifted the Europa Conference League with Roma in 2022 and the Giallorossi sit third in the Serie A standings from 29 games played.

They are also still in the UEFA Europa League and they will battle Feyenoord on Thursday in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Nevertheless, Jose Mourinho would supposedly be ready to exit AS Roma for a fresh challenge at the highest European level.

Just specific teams would make him leave the Italian club, even though his current contract expires in 2024.

Aouna has established that, should Chelsea make a bid to AS Roma for Jose Felix Mourinho, the 60-year-old would strive for a comeback to the West London side.

The Portuguese would also be eyeing coaching Paris Saint-Germain if he is contacted on taking over from Christopher Galtier.

However, a move to Saudi Arabia is supposedly not in the consideration for the ex-Porto, Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur coach.

Santi Aouna indicates that the Italian Serie A side would be open to allowing their manager to leave the team for a fresh challenge.

Jose Mourinho was supposedly proposed above £100-million to come coach Saudi Arabia with two alternatives also put forward.

The contract includes £52-million per year alongside the opportunity to cancel the deal at the end of the first year or further it till 2026, the year of the North American World Cup.

The Portuguese has also in the past indicated his interest to lead a country’s national team having at no point in his career thus far managed any.

Mourinho is a two time Champions League winner at FC Porto winning his first in Portugal and his second at Inter Milan.

He has also won the top-flight league titles in Portugal, Spain, England and Italy alongside several individual honours to his name.

Jose Mourinho’s future at AS Roma is currently dangling in the balance but if he does take AS Roma to the UEFA Champions League next campaign, his deal is likely to be extended past 2024.

The former Manchester United manager has coached the Giallorossi for 41 games across all competitions so far this campaign coming victorious in 22, sharing the spoils in 7 and losing 12.
