Jermain Defoe and his wife Donna Tierney put up a unified front on Sunday in the wake of allegations that he messaged a nurse pleading for sex just one month after his opulent wedding.
The 39-year-old former England footballer is alleged to have allowed a woman to go along with him in his Range Rover only weeks after getting married in June, however he has denied any wrongdoing.
This past weekend, Jermain, a former star for Tottenham, shared a photo of himself cuddling up to Donna while the two were watching a National Football League game on Instagram Stories.
Donna was wearing a black Dolce & Gabbana jumper over a vest top and was spotted standing with her arm around her companion.
Jermain stood next to a pal and casually posed while sporting a black coat and a T-shirt that matched.
The picture came after The Sun revealed that the youth academy coach started getting in touch with the nurse, a 40-year-old mother who had recently gotten married, in July.
Donna, 40, and Jermain got married on June 4 in a lavish £200,000 wedding at the Berkshire manor Cliveden House.
He revealed to OK! magazine: ‘This is my future, this is forever, this is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.’
He published this online on June 21: “Dedicating my whole life to Donna Defoe was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to have a life of pure love and happiness.
“Our wedding was like a movie and I thank god for blessing us both with such a special day with family and friends who mean the world to us.”
Jermain Defoe apparently started contacting another woman on July 14 and later sought to set up a meet-up.
The woman, who has not been named, allegedly met the footballer in a bar years ago, but they haven’t spoken in a long time, according to The Sun.
The woman reportedly said: “Then he started messaging me on Instagram in July. He was desperate to meet me and we flirted a lot.”
“Then, when I realised he was married, I didn’t want it to go any further.'”
The woman questioned why he would be seeking for another woman “so soon” after getting married and stated she didn’t think it would have been fair to his wife.
He began emailing her in July, finally inviting her to meet up for a frolic in his Range Rover and referring to her as “baby” in voice messages.
The mystery lady added: “Our messages were a bit of fun at the time, but there was no point in carrying it on.”
Jermain initially got to know his wife Donna through social media, when he “liked” her photos.
In person, they first spoke in January 2021 at a charity event where she requested an autographed jersey from him.
Only seven months later, he got down on one knee in a Glasgow hotel room, decked it with ‘Marry Me’-themed balloons and rose petal decor.
Donna, a beauty therapist, told OK! magazine that friends had commented on how plainly apparent it was that Defoe valued her through “his wonderful” wedding speech.
Jermain has already been the subject of allegations that he cheated, including on his ex-girlfriend Alexandra Burke.
Months after he purchased a hot tub from his saleswoman wife Sally, he was accused of being the reason radio host Ben Weston’s marriage failed in 2017.

Just 17 months into their relationship, the couple chose to get married at the gorgeous Cliveden House in Berkshire, although their love story truly dates back years.
Donna, a Glasgow native, began dating the footballer in 2021.
The delighted mother frequently posts pictures of her 12-year-old daughter Olivia on social media. Olivia has a devoted stepdad in Jermain, who Donna claims gave an outstanding speech at their wedding about Olivia.
She loves skin care and after earning her degree, she started working as a botanist. Donna invested everything she had into her company, which she even referred to as her “second baby,” Marinical.com, a skincare line that claims to “bring the power of nature and science together, to showcase the very best of your natural beauty.”
Donna and Jermain started dating in January 2021, although according to her, the timing is irrelevant since “when you know, you know.” She posted on Instagram after the couple’s wedding to express how amazing their special day was.
