Okocha was an integral part of the Nigeria 94 Super Eagles who flew the flag of Nigeria football high in world football, defeating the likes of Brazil to claim their first-ever Olympic Gold medal in football.
The Enugu-born Nigerian international featured 73 times for the Super Eagles with 24 goals in his 13-year-spell with the Super Eagles. He won the Tunisia 94 Africa Cup Of Nations and was an indispensable part of the Atlanta 96 Olympic-winning Super Eagles.

Okocha toured major clubs in Europe when he was active in the round leather game. He started his football with a domestic club Enugu Rangers from his state. His first spell at European club football was with German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in 1991.
