Jadon Sancho has left Germany to an unnamed destination to give himself a treat after a long 2019-2020 season which was elongated due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund star announced on his Instagram page earlier this week that he is holidaying. He made the announcement via a caption to a set of photographs where he could be seen chilling in a private jet. But didn’t name where he was heading to.
Subsequently, he shared pictures of his activities at his holiday destination. In one of those pictures, he could be seen standing on a boat wearing only shorts, he held tight to a pole on the boat while he enjoyed the sail. In the caption, he simply wrote, “boat wave”.
In another set of pictures, he could be seen using the holiday moments to exercise and keep fit while he awaits the outcome of the ongoing negotiations between his club, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
Jadon Sancho and his Transfer saga
Manchester United have been trying to bring Sancho to the Premier League prior to the beginning of this summer transfer window. But the coronavirus pandemic which has affected the revenue of clubs including that of the Premier League giants has made the negotiations to continue to drag.
The latest reports on his move to United say Borussia Dortmund are still insisting that they would not collect anything less than £80 million from United before they will allow Sancho leave. While Manchester United said they are willing to pay £50 million for the 20-year-old England international.
Another latest update says Borussia Dortmund have started planning for Jadon Sancho’s departure to possibly United. They are currently seeking to sign 24-year-old Werder Bremen and the Kosovo national team star, Milot Rashica.
Milot who can play as an attacking midfielder is also a prolific winger like Jadon Sancho. According to reports, Dortmund will bid for him officially if Sancho’s proposed move to United finally scales through this summer.
Jadon Sancho’s Performance in 2019-2020 season
Though Borussia Dortmund was not able to break the dominance of Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga, Jadan Sancho had the best season of his career in the last 13 months. This season, he scored 20 goals and made 20 assists in 44 matches in all competitions.
However, Jadan Sancho’s performance only helped Dortmund to finish second on the German Bundesliga table with 69 points behind Bayern Munich that won the league with 82 points.
His impact was not also enough to help the club to go beyond the round of 16 stage in this season’s UEFA Champions League. Sancho’s team crashed out of the competition after falling to Paris Saint Germain 3-2 on aggregate.
