Ibrahimovic waives racism amid Lukaku face-off

    AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played down any act of racism consequent to the brawl that happens between the Swedish and Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.


    Recall that the Milan derby between Inter Milan and AC Milan was played under a tense atmosphere as Lukaku and Ibrahimovic battled against one another at the Copa Italia quarter-final.

    The embattled match ended in favor of the Nerazzurri, 2-1 it ended. This platform reported that the spat was not about who would score, but about who was a more furious player in terms of verbal and physical confrontation.


    Both parties who played together at Old Trafford in the 2017/18 campaign, seems not to know each other at the match, as they have a face-off.
    But the Swedish on social media played down any form of the racist act with his former teammate during the Milan derby.

    “In ZLATAN’s world there is no place for RACISM, We are all the same race — we are all equal !! We are all PLAYERS some better than others.” Ibrahimović wrote on Twitter.


    An Italian television said AC Milan representatives had denied any allegations of racism in Ibrahimovic’s remarks to Lukaku, who is Black.

    The former Ajax striker broke the deadlock, he was later sent off after he was yellow-carded twice in the match. Lukaku denied AC Milan of the lead, but Christian Eriksen spur the Nerazzurri to victory at the dying minute of the match
