Cristiano Ronaldo has been making the best out of his self-isolation time as he awaits to test negative for the dreaded coronavirus which has kept him out of football for over two weeks.
The 35-year-old Portuguese football icon tested positive for coronavirus two days after Portugal played against France in the UEFA Nations League on October 11. Ronaldo played in the match which ended 0-0 and had very close contact with France and Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe. Despite that, Mbappe had not tested positive for the virus.
Recently, Ronaldo was tested again for the virus and the 5 times Ballon d’Or winner tested positive for the second time in less than 10 days. This would force him to miss Juventus match against Verona today, October 25.
Before his club’s match against Verona, the coronavirus infection has forced the Portugal international to miss Juventus’ Serie A match against Crotone which ended 1-1. Ronaldo also missed the club’s 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League group stage on October 20.
Despite all these setbacks that the former Real Madrid and Manchester United‘s forward has been subjected to due to the virus, Ronaldo has been keeping himself fit and refreshed while self-isolating at his mansion in Italy.
Also, the footballer has been very busy on social media especially on Instagram where he recently flaunted his new haircut which is different from what he has ever done. For the first time since he hit the limelight, Ronaldo decided to keep a very low cut while self-isolating.
Recently, he shared a video on his Instagram page with over 241 million followers showing when he was working out in a gym at his mansion. His lover, Georgina Rodriguez, was seen filming him a distance away.
During the weekend, he shared a picture on Instagram showing when he was chilling in his beautiful garden under a very hot sun which could be taken as a therapy to fasten his recovering from the dreaded virus.
As it stands, Juventus would need the Portuguese football icon to recover as fast as possible because of their next match schedule which is against Lionel Messi’s led FC Barcelona. The UEFA Champions League match will take place on October 21 in Italy and the possibility of Ronaldo featuring in the match is growing slimmer by the day, thanks to the coronavirus infection. However, if Juventus’s star tests negative 24 hours before the match, he could get a place in the match.
