Manchester United players are seriously trying to counter every negative report concerning the Premier League side. The club’s embattled captain, Harry Maguire is the latest player at the club to respond to the series of negative reports concerning the club.

Recall that recently, the Mirror reported that there has been a power tussle between Cristiano Ronaldo and the club’s current captain, Harry Maguire. The report claimed that the English defender feels undermined by the influence Ronaldo has on the dressing room at Manchester United.

Also, reports claimed that coach Ralf Rangnick wants to allocate more powers to Ronaldo since Harry Maguire has lost respect among some players at the club.

The captaincy tussle has reportedly caused a series of conflicts and few players including Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire are said to be irritated by Ronaldo’s desire to captain the club.

Amid all those reports, Harry Maguire took to Twitter to debunk all the reports claiming that there has been a crisis in the club’s dressing over the club’s captaincy.

In his tweet, the 28-year-old English defender noted that he has seen a series of reports about Manchester United which were not true, stressing that the club’s players are focused on the Premier League game against Leeds United scheduled to kick off at 15:00 on Sunday, February 20.

“I’ve seen a lot of reports about this club that aren’t true and this is another”, Harry Maguire tweeted. “Not going to start posting about everything that is written but I needed to make this one clear. We’re united and focused on Sunday.”

Before now, Marcus Rashford has had to share a tweet to debunk reports claiming that he and Harry Maguire are irritated by Ronaldo’s influence on the club’s dressing room.

The 24-year-old English forward tweeted: “Are we just making it up as we go along now then? Please stop looking for divides.”

To prove that there was nothing negative between him and Rashford, Ronaldo took to his Instagram story to post a picture of himself and Rashford during training.

In the picture, they were seen walking side by side wearing Manchester United training kits while they prepared for the league game against Leeds United on Sunday.

Also, Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw has told Sky Sports that there is no crisis in the club’s dressing room contrary to reports. He insisted that the players at the club are united.

“Our dressing room is really good”, Luke Shaw said.

“There’s a lot of fake news and a lot of rumors surrounding it but it’s great. We work together and we all have the same goals and objectives.

“It’s not easy for the manager to keep everyone happy because everyone wants to play and we have so many good players.

“But we understand each other. We have developed harmony in the dressing room and I think that’s the most important thing we have.

“We have maximum respect for each other in the dressing room.”
