The manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that the club’s captain, Harry Kane is with the club and has started preparing for the 2021-2022 season.
Recall that earlier in August, Harry Kane was everywhere on the news when he was not seen at Tottenham Hotspur training ground after his post-Euro 2020 break ended.
The reason for his absence was said to be a strategy to force Tottenham Hotspur to allow him to leave the club for Manchester City that have shown strong interest in him.
However, Kane took to Twitter to insist that he didn’t intentionally fail to show up at the club for training. He insisted he is still loyal to the club.

In the same vein, the coach of Tottenham Hotspur insisted that Harry Kane has resumed at the club this week but had to self-isolate in line with the club’s coronavirus protocol.
Nuno who earlier said he has not had time to have a conversation with Harry Kane since he became the coach of the club this summer, revealed that he and the football star would discuss later today, August 9, 2021.
During the post-match press conference after Tottenham Hotspur beat Arsenal 1-0 in a pre-season friendly on Sunday, coach Nuno said everything is good between Kane and the club.

“Harry is with us. He has to quarantine at Spurs Lodge,” Nuno said after Spurs’ friendly win over Arsenal.
“He’s training, he already had his first day with the sports scientists. He’s with us, it’s good.
“We expect to integrate Harry when he follows all the protocols we have to apply. We have to be very strict with the process of quarantine and not take any chances because everyone has learned the pandemic is still there, so we have to be very careful.
“I will speak with Harry as soon as possible. He is already at Spurs Lodge, we have a training session tomorrow [on Monday], hopefully, I can speak with Harry socially distanced.”
Even though Tottenham Hotspur seem uninterested to allow Harry Kane to leave, Manchester City are doing everything possible to sign the football star this summer.
Recall that Tottenham Hotspur rejected City’s £100 million bid they made for the England captain. The latest reports claimed that Manchester City are planning to make a £150 million improved bid which might be impossible for Tottenham to resist.
From all indications, Manchester City are waiting for Kane and the England international is ready to exit the club. Hence, the ball is in the court of Spurs.
