Tottenham Hotspur talisman, Harry Kane is not bothered about his dwindling form at the club amid interest from Manchester City.
The 28-year-old English forward who is currently on national duty with England said his major concern now is to continue working hard for Tottenham Hotspur.
Harry Kane who started the season trying to force Spurs to allow him to leave the club ahead of the 2021-2022 season has scored just a goal and provided an assist in 10 Premier League games this season.
Ahead of England’s World Cup qualification matches against Albania and San Marino, Harry Kane stressed that he has no excuse for not scoring as he used to.
“From my point of view, it’s easy for people to make an excuse when you’re not on form or scoring as many as you usually do and that’s where it’s important for my self-belief, for my mentality, just to work harder,” said Kane.
“That’s always been my approach, whether I’m doing really well or the goals don’t quite come – is to work hard and train hard for the team and that’s what I’ve done my whole career.
“In this calendar year, it’s been a great year for me personally and I hope to continue that on Friday night.”

Harry Kane is expected to pick up his form when he leads England to face Albania at Wembley later today, November 12, 2021. The match will kick off at 20:45.
After the game, England will fly to San Marino to play their last World Cup qualification match ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. A win and a draw from the two games would guarantee England a place in the prestigious football competition.
Harry Kane said: “I think it’s a game that we definitely want to win,” he said. “We need four points from these two qualifiers so the quicker you can get three on the board, the better.
“A win would put us in a better position for the San Marino one.
“We expect a really tough game. Albania still have the chance to qualify for the World Cup and we know they’ll bring a lot of energy and passion to the game so we need to make sure we match that.
“We feel with our ability, we have more than enough to win the game but it will be a tough battle.”
Manchester City still want Harry Kane
Meanwhile, an ESPN report claimed that Manchester City are still interested in the services of Harry Kane even though he has been struggling in the Premier League this season.
Recall that ahead of the 2021-2022 season, Manchester City tried to buy Harry Kane for £100 million but Tottenham Hotspur turned down the offer.
Kane was willing to join Pep Guardiola’s side but when it became obvious that he would not be able to do so, he pledged his loyalty back to Tottenham.
ESPN claimed that Manchester City are planning to return to Tottenham Hotspur with £150 million to tempt the club to release Harry Kane.
Kane wants to win titles and Manchester City seem to be one of the surest clubs that might help him to achieve that. However, reports claimed that the appointment of Antonio Conte has ignited Kane’s hope of winning titles at Spurs and that might tempt him to stay at Spurs a bit longer.
🗣 "I think I dealt with it well."
