Harry Kane finds himself in a tight situation following his transfer from Tottenham to German powerhouse Bayern Munich.

Kane’s main motivation behind leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich stems from his intense desire to finally clinch a major trophy after years of disappointments.

Trophies Bayern Munich could win in 2023/24 season

At the beginning of this season, Bayern Munich had the opportunity to compete for four prestigious titles, including the Bundesliga, the DFB Pokal Cup, the DFL Supercup, and the UEFA Champions League.

Trophies they have bid farewell to

However, in just 15 matches, Bayern have already bid farewell to two of these titles.

Kane’s debut for the team saw them suffer a distressing 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the DFL Super Cup, with an exceptional hat-trick from Dani Olmo preventing the English striker from claiming his first title.

The second setback occurred during the DFB Pokal Cup match against the underdog team Saarbrucken.

Saarbrucken, who currently holds the fifteenth position in Germany’s third division, managed to defeat the powerful Bayern with a score of 2-1, knocking them out of the DFB Pokal.

Goals from Patrick Sontheimer in the 45th minute and Marcel Gaus in the 96th minute turned the game around after Thomas Müller had opened the scoring for Bayern in the 16th minute.

Surprisingly, Bayern’s number nine, Kane, did not step foot on the field during the Saarbrucken match.

He remained on the bench as coach Tuchel chose not to make use of the five substitutions available, reserving Kane for the upcoming game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

The current situation is quite different from what Kane proclaimed during his presentation in August.

The former Tottenham striker expressed his desire to participate in the Champions League and compete for titles, to win all the trophies Bayern compete for.

The Champions League and Bundesliga are the trophies left for Bayern

Presently, Bayern find themselves in a difficult position in the Bundesliga, as they are not leading the league.

They currently sit in second place, trailing behind Xabi Alonso’s unexpected Bayer Leverkusen side by two points.

Additionally, Bayern remains unbeaten in the Champions League.

With Bayern Munich expected to dominate in domestic competitions, their focus will be on improving their performance in the Champions League after being eliminated in the quarterfinals last season.

Manchester City are currently considered the frontrunners to win the Champions League title in the 2023/24 season, with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Arsenal in pursuit.

Harry Kane makes record with 14 goals in 13 games

Despite Bayern missing out on two trophies, Harry Kane has performed exceptionally well.

In the 13 games he has played, he has been directly involved in 21 goals, scoring 14 and assisting seven.

His recent hat-trick in the 8-0 victory against Darmstadt, which included a goal from his own half, further highlights his incredible form.

Kane has become the first player in Bundesliga history to score 12 goals in his first 10 games.

With his current rate and form, it seems only a matter of time before he achieves a major honor in his football career.

Bayer Munich’s Trophy collection

Bayern Munich’s remarkable track record in domestic competitions has firmly established them as the most accomplished team in the history of German football.

They have clinched an astonishing 33 Bundesliga titles, leaving FC Nurnberg and Borussia Dortmund tied for second place with a mere eight championships each.

Additionally, Bayern Munich reigns supreme in the DFB Pokal tournament, having claimed the prestigious title on 20 occasions.

This puts them ahead of Werder Bremen, who have secured the honor six times.

Furthermore, Bayern Munich’s dominance extends to the DFL Supercup, having triumphed in this competition a remarkable 10 times, leaving Borussia Dortmund trailing behind on six victories.

In terms of European success, Bayern Munich outshines all other German clubs in the UEFA European Cup/Champions League.

They hoist a total of six illustrious trophies in their Allianz Arena collection, surpassing any other domestic club’s achievements in this esteemed tournament.

Next for Kane and Bayern

Kane will next be seen in Bundesliga action for Bayern Munich on Saturday, November 4, in a fierce match against Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund will be hosting the German Powerhouse at the Signal Iduna Park with kickoff set at 6:30 pm.
