Manchester United legend Gary Neville had raised concern over Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s minority investment in the club.

One of the richest billionaires in the UK is close to agreeing to a 25% stake in the shares of the club after Sheikh Jassim pulled out of the contest to become a Manchester United owner.

Gary Neville had been vocal about how the Glazer family had always run the club, giving instances of a huge amount of debt, not investing heavily in the squad, and not considering changing the leadership setting of the club.

Based on the aformentioned, the football pundit has asked a series of questions about Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment.

Gary Neville posted on his LinkedIn account, saying his preference had always been the full exit of the Glazer family.

The former English right-back claimed they had overstayed their welcome at Manchester United.

On his social media account, Gary Neville asked 16 questions to the current handlers of the club as the club’s ownership saga continues.

The questions are: What does the fund distribution look like?

Which Glazers are going, or is it a family dilution?

How much does it impact the NYSE shareholders?

Does the executive stay the same?

Does the sporting side stay the same above Erik Ten Hag?

Who within the board has sporting control?

Is there further debt placed on the club?

Is any debt being paid off?

These questions asked by Gary Neville are going to cause a lot of debate among the fans who want the club to be owned by Qatar.

The Sir Jim Ratcliffe deal will see the Glazers family continue running the club as majority shareholders.

However, it is likely Sir Jim Ratcliffe will take over the club in the next three years if he becomes the majority shareholder.

This came after 11 months of negotiations with Raine Group, who were in charge of the Manchester United sale.

It is not the full takeover many Manchester United fans had hoped for, but they are still well concerned about Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s type of investment.

Sheikh Jassim wants full control over Manchester United, with a promise of clearing off the club’s debt worth £1 billion.

The former Prime Minister of Qatar also wants to invest heavily in the squad to make sure it is capable of winning titles at the highest level.

Sheikh Jassim is also planning on rebuilding Old Trafford, which Cristiano Ronaldo claimed had the same Jacuzzi and training equipment as when he left the club in 2009.

Since it was declared that Sheikh Jassim had decided to rule out the process of becoming a Manchester United owner, the fans are planning a massive protest that could affect the owners financially.

After the announcement, the Manchester United Supporters Trust released a statement saying, “It would be widely optimistic to think the Glazers are acting in the interest of the supporters or making ownership decisions that are not centered on their own priorities.”
