Gabriel Jesus’ agents are reportedly in London to finalize the deal between the footballer, Manchester City, and Arsenal. The deal is expected to be completed this week as it has reached the final stage.

Arsenal are pushing hard to get Jesus from the English Premier League champions as they keep working to improve their squad.

The Brazilian played a major part in the Gunners’ demolition last season as Manchester City defeated them 5-0 and he scored and assisted during the game.

Gabriel Jesus had an impressive 2021/22 season at Manchester City but he desires to move to another club ahead of the coming season.

Jesus is seeking a move away from the club to consolidate his position as a quality player, particularly with the World Cup in Qatar this winter in mind.

London appears to be his most likely destination, as Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both expressed interest in him this summer, although Arsenal appear to be the frontrunner at the moment.

Futballnews gathered earlier today, June 21, 2022, that the 25-year-old’s agents are in London to discuss his departure from the Etihad, and it’s understood that both sides are hopeful that a deal with Arsenal can be completed before this weekend.

Despite having only one year left on his contract, City valued Jesus at roughly £50 million, which is a respectable sum for a striker with Premier League experience in the present market.

Arsenal is said to have made an initial proposal of roughly £30 million, but it was turned down and they are expected to make a second attempt that is closer to the Citizens’ valuation.

Jesus is one of several City players on the verge of leaving, with Raheem Sterling and Oleksandr Zinchenko both rumored to be leaving, while Bernardo Silva could be forced to join Barcelona if Barca’s Frenkie de Jong joins Manchester United this summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are already having a busy summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta continues restructuring the team ahead of next season. They’ve already confirmed one signing, and they’re trying to acquire two more before the preseason begins.

Arsenal is pursuing Leeds United forward Raphinha in addition to Gabriel Jesus – but they may have to fight against Barcelona for his services.

Their chase of Youri Tielemens appears to be on hold as they concentrate on deals for Brazilian strikers.

Fabio Viera’s potential arrival at the Emirates Stadium this summer would add to Arsenal’s increasing Portuguese-speaking contingent. Porto have already made the announcement, but Arsenal fans will have to wait for confirmation from the Premier League club.
