Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been linked with several potential moves, including being tipped to take over as Republic of Ireland boss earlier in 2024.
However, the Norwegian has been said to be very selective about his next move, as he is keen on getting a job that he is in sync with.
Moreover, reports also emanated in June 2024, linking Solskjaer with a managerial position at Turkish giants Besiktas.
The former Manchester United man is understood to have held talks with the Turkish club in January 2024.
Anyway, the appointment of ex-Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst by Besiktas meant that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will continue to wait for a new job in management.
That could be over in no distant time, as news filtering in has indicated that the 51-year-old could soon be appointed as boss of newly-promoted Leicester City.
The Foxes are in search of a successor to Enzo Maresca, who was snatched by Chelsea on June 3, 2024, with the Italian penning a five-year deal with the Blues.
Leicester City currently have an undefined future following Maresca’s departure after leading the club to win the English Championship, which earned them a ticket for the top flight.
The East Midlands side are also dealing with off-field issues having been charged with an alleged breach of Premier League profit and sustainability rules.
Solskjaer could be handed the mantle of leadership to guide the Foxes to impressive heights following their return to the top division.
