Former Arsenal midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide is reportedly in a ‘stable condition’ after he was rushed to hospital on Saturday, May 4.

The 26-year-old Frenchman, who spent three years at Arsenal between 2015 and 2018 had to be rushed to the hospital after being knocked out during a Belgian Pro League match on Saturday.

Reine-Adelaide, who recently joined the Belgian side RWN Molenbeek, was left unconscious for 10 minutes after being hit in the face with the ball from close range.

The player received immediate treatment from medics on the pitch before being rushed to the hospital as per Daily Mail.

However, it seems that there was some confusion and misunderstanding about the severity of Jeff Reine-Adelaide’s injury when Molenbeek manager Yannick Ferreira stated that there were fears that the player had suffered a brain hemorrhage.

Yannick Ferrera assumed that the 26-year-old might have suffered a life-threatening injury, as he told reporters: “Jeff was unconscious for about ten minutes. We fear a brain hemorrhage.”

Thankfully, it has been clarified by Reine-Adelaide’s entourage who told reporters that he is doing well and there is no cause for alarm.

Reine-Adelaide’s entourage told French outlet L’Equipe: “Jeff is fine. There is no hemorrhage or after-effects.”

At the same time, the player posted a positive update on Saturday night regarding his situation and claimed that he had ‘undergone medical examinations and was observed overnight’.

He later provided a positive update on his health on social media as he took to Instagram to write in his story: “Thanks for your messages of support, more fear than evil.”

Despite one of Molenbeek’s key players sustaining an injury during the match, the club continued to fight until the final whistle.

Unfortunately, they were unable to overcome the deficit and ended up suffering a 3-1 defeat to Royal Charleroi SC.

This loss dealt a heavy blow to Molenbeek’s hopes of avoiding relegation, as they now find themselves in a precarious position with only three matches remaining in the season.

Yannick Ferrera and his players will need to rally together and give their all in the upcoming games if they hope to secure their place in the top flight for next season.
