    Some top European superstars could have played in the ongoing 2021 AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) if they had not snubbed their ancestral homes for their country of birth or where they were raised.

    Recall that since January 9, 2022, the best national teams in the continent of Africa started the 2021 AFCON football tournament in Cameroon. The tournament would have had in attendance European superstars like Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema, N’golo Kanté, and many others. But the superstars decided to choose their adopted homes over their ancestral homes.
