Erling Haaland didn’t play against Borussia Dortmund in the second half on Tuesday, October 25, as City manager Pep Guardiola said after the game that the striker had a fever and a foot ailment.

Erling Haaland gave Manchester City a scare that he has injured after playing for only 45 minutes when he visited his old team Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

Only seven of Haaland’s passes were effective, and he only got 13 touches. He also had NO shots that were on target.

“Like Joao Cancelo, he experienced a slight fever during the second one. He received a blow to his foot on the third. He was unable to play in the second half due to this.”

When questioned about the severity of Haaland’s foot injury, who has 22 goals in 14 appearances for City this season, Pep Guardiola said:

“I don’t know right now, I spoke to them (the medical staff) at half-time and they were a little bit concerned. But I saw him walking OK at the end.”

Before the World Cup, Manchester City will focus on their final “three matches” in the Premier League campaign.
